'See You Sunday' Newsletter | vol. 18
a skincare brand i'm trying out, what i wore this week, our latest netflix watch, and the best weekend sales
Hi hii! Gosh, where did this weekend go? I’m trying to think what we even did. It was truly just full of quality time as a family. We had my brother over today for a really nice lunch. John cooked a nice ribeye, macaroni and cheese, with some veggies and we all had a nice catch-up. Little Lawson has had a good weekend just eating and sleeping and being such a gorgeous little nugget. Louie had a blast at his two swim lessons, playing with us & all of his trucks [he’s obsessed!] and keeping up with his little chore chart [another favorite thing!].
John and I had an at-home date night last night. We made a charcuterie board and watched a true crime documentary on Netflix.
It was called ‘A Deadly American Marriage’. We haven’t watched a true crime documentary in a long time and this one had me crying - pretty much - the whole time. It was so sad. I won’t spoil it but what the kids had to endure [they weren’t the main victim in the crime but what happened did cause them mental and emotional trauma] broke my heart. Whenever kids are involved in stories like that, I can’t help but think of Louie [and now Lawson] and it makes it so much harder to watch because you just empathize so much more deeply to them. Anyone else?
We just got home from our neighbor’s house and I am winding down watching the new season of America’s Sweethearts. I needed something lighter after last night, ha! Needed something lighter after last night!
Hope you all had a nice weekend! I know things are pretty baby and family heavy over here right now. We don’t have a lot of trips and plans this Summer so I always feel like I don’t have much to share so, I hope you’ll bear with me and please feel free to just let me know what you’re enjoying and / or what you want to see. In the next month or so, I’ll definitely going to be bringing more travel content into the fold.

What’s New in my Wardrobe This Week
To be honest, it takes a lot for me to feel like taking photos these days. I’m just not really feeling very ‘cute’ but I’m trying to feel a little more celebratory of myself and my body. I know it’s just done the most miraculous thing. It can just be hard to not be able to reach for some of the things you love to wear that make you feel confident and also not know when or if you’ll ever be able to reach for those pieces again. I’m so bored of what I have that fits because it’s those ten options are all I’ve worn the last 3 or 4 months. No need for pity at all. I know it takes time and I think it’s important to allow yourself to buy for your new body because it does help.
I shared these pieces in a graphic last weekend but here’s what the new pieces I recently purchased look like on:
I can’t underline how obsessed with this dress I am. The silhouette and the fabric are so perfect. It has pockets and runs big. I’m wearing an XS here.
This dress is so fun for summer, especially if you have a more colorful style! It runs true to size.

A new skincare brand I’m trying …
I’ve been needing a new moisturizer. I ran out of my Elemis moisturizers within a week of each other and started using John’s Jack Black face lotion and it dried my skin out so bad!
I was at Ulta the other day and wanted to try something new and came across this brand, Byoma. It’s a science-driven barrier boosting skincare brand that is cruelty free and reasonably affordable. I decided to try two products to start - their moisturizing rich cream [using for daytime and nighttime at the moment] and their sensitive retinol oil [not pregnancy or breastfeeding safe]. I’m liking them both so far so I’ll keep you posted on results!
Alright, lovelies! I’m off to feed little Lawson — hope you all had a nice weekend! xo.
