'See You Sunday' Newsletter | vol. 19
4th of July outfit inspo, 20% off Anthro code, new London opening, blackened shrimp salad recipe, and more!
Hi friends! How has your weekend been? I’ve felt a little under the weather so we kept things pretty low key. We’ve been streaming bits of Glastonbury and wishing we were there! Well, actually, John has ha — I don’t know if I could hang at a festival that big. But, I love watching bits of it from the comfort of our couch. The 1975 killed their performance on Friday. While I am a huge Taylor Swift fan, I can’t deny that their music is so fun but, I will say, Matty did make a comment during the performance about being ‘the best songwriter of our generation — a poet’ and it was clearly a petty slight toward Taylor. Ha, really proving him to be the ‘smallest man who ever lived’ [see here]. Alanis Morissette, Lewis Capaldi, and Scissor Sisters were a few other highlights and we’re about to watch Rod Stewart, the legend!
Other than that, we’ve been catching up on stuff around the house while juggling the boys. It’s always a dance, ha, and especially now with Lawson but we are loving it. We have Louie’s swim lesson again later today so we’ll head over to our neighbors’ in a bit to hang with them for the afternoon. Remember how I mentioned John’s blackened shrimp salad he was going to make? It was a hit. I only got a mediocre photo of my bowl of it but it was a hit:
John never follows recipes but I’d say it was a loose rendition of THIS recipe.
